Last days

Bonjour!
As we prepare for the last day of school I just want to say MERCI for a great year.  This has been a wonderful group and I have truly enjoyed teaching your children and have appreciated the support for all that we have done.  Here is a look at our last days:

Tuesday~le mardi 24 juin
We will gather our supplies, belongings and work from the year to go home.  We will read through our alphabet booklets. After recess we will enjoy some play outside with sidewalk chalk and face paint.

Wednesday ~le mercredi 25 juin
We are hoping for sunshine.  We will walk to River Landing Spray Park.  The spray features open at 10am.  We will walk and have snack.  Please send children with bathing suits under clothing.  The kids need to be wearing hats.  Footwear that can get wet is great for the actual park because it is quite slick.  They will need to have good walking footwear however.  Please include a towel and sunscreen in your child's bag.

Thursday ~le jeudi 26 juin
We will spend some time as a class.  We will sing some songs, play some games and report cards will be handed out (included in the envelope is a supply list and a way to order supplies online).  There will be a few more items to look for as well.  We will attend our last assembly with the school.
Au revoir mes amis!

Dad's Day

What an awesome time we had for Dad's Day!  Thank you so much for your attendance as well as your participation.  Everyone got into it and it was a wonderful time.  Special thanks to our student who performed a Fancy Dance for us to open our activities.  BRAVO!

Une journée inoubliable!

It was a wonderful trip to the Forestry Farm!  Thank you again to our parent volunteers.  We had a great time with our care partner class.  I will post some pictures as well as pictures of the Children's Festival.  Again if you have any photos please send them to wallacej@spsd.sk.ca and ensure that they are no larger than 2MB per message.  It is possible that some have been sent to my spam account so please send me a message of confirmation as well.

We are wrapping up the school year soon.  I am currently working on report cards and the students are well aware of this as I do some final assessments one-on-one.  I am reminding them that they are closer now to being grade one students than they are kindergarten students.   We are excited for the end of the school year but there is still work to be done!

We are looking forward to our trip to the U of S on June 16th.  We will be back before dismissal.
We are also looking forward to Dad's day on June 19th.  A reminder to please find someone if you are unable to attend--every child needs an adult to join in on the fun.  And please be ready to play.  We will be very active.

Wow! MERCI!

Well I want to say a big thank you to you all.  As of tonight I am overwhelmed by parental support and especially for our field trips.  I have received more than enough volunteers for the Forestry Farm on Tuesday.  THANK YOU. The reason why I haven't said "no" to any of you is because our care partner class is also joining us and they were also short on volunteers.  So I think we will divide into groups and have enough of everyone to go around.  I am now hoping that we have sunny skies.  Thank you again for the outpouring support for this day and all our days at school.  I am very grateful.

Votre,
Mme Wallace
